The Reading is focused on those people who most likely keep in mind audio cassettes. And the meaning of Grey Skull. If you don’t you should stop checking out today. I’m not speaking with you. I wore neon socks in the eighties along with matching fingerless gloves. And I wore ankle grazers when they were named as pedal pushers/clamdiggers/cropped pants too.

I relaxed because my husband told me to and From the when skinnies were called drainpipes.
They’re all signs that you’ve probably seen most fashions come and go.
I was excited to begin to see the return of the Mac, sorry, After all the culotte this past year, and sad to see it reviled as the ugliest trouser shape know to womankind.
I’m unsure if I’m as excited to see that the 1970’s are likely to hit us smack in the arse of our skinny jeans this coming season. If the fashion mags can be believed, high-waisted bell bottoms and um, lacing is going to function as shizz.
If you’ve already worn these fashions once, it sticks in your craw to wear them again and it’s difficult to do so without looking like you’ve just been using them considering that the 70s.
Ok, I was just 8 when I had my first couple of flares (and matching waistcoat – fashionista in the making) but the notion of using them again has me frankly terrified.
I’ve thought long and hard about this dilemma and I’ve got these tips on how to re-wear a look from your own youth without looking like you’ve been stuck in an occasion capsule.
Dilute the Trend.
Here is the most obvious starting point to re-wearing a trend. If, as a 40-something women, you rock up at the institution run in bell bottom jeans, fringed waistcoat and cork platforms, chances are you are likely to get asked over and over again whether you’re on your way to an elegant dress party. This is simply not a great thing.
Pick just one part of the trend that appeals to you the absolute most and wear that one. When you yourself have the legs for flares, go for it. In the event that you fancy a little suede fringing on your own handbag, go for that.
Don’t take action all. Even the coolest amongst us can’t do a trend head to toe.
Mix in your signature pieces.
We all have pieces that individuals wear all the time in the knowledge that individuals look and feel great in them. These might change with the seasons and as your style evolves, but nonetheless, people will recognize you as “you” whenever you wear them.
For me personally, it appears to be slouch/drop crotch pants. Friends will often tell me which they saw a great pair whilst out shopping that they’re sure I’ll love.
So, if I wear going to choose a bit of the 1970’s trend, I might choose a set of platform boots and pair them with my slouchy pants. See? All an immediate, you’re rocking the trend, but you’re still dressing like yourself.
If you truly to wear a trend for the 2nd time, use it with confidence!
And of course this relates to virtually what you ever wear. If you feel great, you’ll look great and radiate confidence. Andrea Tonkin, stylist and blogger says “Dare to wear, and smile if they stare” which can be this kind of great mantra.
Don’t let others dictate everything you wear, in the event that you fancy attempting to wear a trend for the 2nd time round then by the Power of Greyskull you need to absolutely give it a take to!
